Copyright in CRO Database of statutory information

The CRO has compiled and presents a database of the documents and information which have been filed with the Office pursuant to the Companies Act 2014 and the Registration of Business Names 1963, arranged in a systematic or a methodical way, which Database is accessible in relation to individual companies and business names.

The CRO Database is an original Database within the meaning of and for the purpose of the Copyright and Related Rights Act, 2000 ("the Act of 2000) and a Database Right, within the meaning of Section 321 of the Act of 2000 exists in respect thereof and the Government of Ireland is the maker of the said database.

Copyright in the CRO Database lies with the Government of Ireland (section 191 of the Act of 2000).

The information contained in the CRO Database has been supplied to the CRO by or on behalf of companies, pursuant to statutory obligation, and the CRO does not, and cannot, vouch for the accuracy of such information, and CRO shall not be responsible for the consequences of any errors or omissions in the information held on its Database.
