Submitting PDF Financial Statements
Customers must upload a pdf version of their Annual financial statements to accompany their Electronic B1 Annual Return form. This facility is as simple to use as attaching a document to an email. The customer is required to upload a pdf of the scanned copy of the originally signed Accounts - financial statements /Auditors Report that should include the typed names of the directors/auditor.
To file electronically on CORE you must first register as a new user. Once you are registered you can log in and go to “File a Form”. You then have two ways to file and sign your B1 Annual Return.
Select your B1 and complete the form, pay the fee by credit card or by using a CRO customer account and digitally sign the form using ROS (Revenue Online Service). You then have 28 days to upload the financial statements.

There are links on CORE to help you if you encounter any difficulties when filing online. The B1 form must be submitted electronically not more than 28 days after the “Return made up to” date on the form.
If you have chosen to sign electronically and pay with a customer account or by credit card, then the submission is entirely electronic, so no signature page or cover sheet is needed unless your are signing as an EFA. As EFAs cannot in law certify the accounts they must attach an overall certificate to the patch page and file it with the CRO on or before the annual return's due date

Please ensure where the company has not signed the B1 electronically a signature page and fee (if applicable) must be forwarded to the CRO within 28 days even where the financial statements are uploaded. Q: My financial statements pdf is too large and won't upload to CORE. What can I do?
A: PDF files should not be more than 5 mb. If your file is too large perhaps consider removing pictures/images from the financial statements. Copy the required text to a new Word processing document. There are other alternatives if using other Word Processors like CUTEFTP. Click File, Save As PDF. 3. Click the Radio Button “Minimise Size” and “Compress Pictures. Compress Pictures will offer options - the lower the resolution you choose - the smaller the size of the document. Click Ok and Save the Document as PDF. Reducing size of pdf accounts.pdf
