Information on data matching
RBO Number-related matching
The RBO operate on a close-matching model. If a name is registered on a BEN2, but a presenter files an RBO form and slightly modifies the name (which will be accepted), the changed name becomes the new RBO name. Your attempt to match identity data on CORE will continue to fail until the CRO name matches the RBO name as it is currently presented on the RBO.

PPSN matching of Names:
In the First Name field, you would put the name you are known as. For example, you may now use the Irish version of your first name, maybe Sean for John or Seamus for James.
Because of this, we have the alternate first name field. In this field, a director would put the first names on record with the Dept of Social Protection. Please note that the director can continue to use the primary first name on the CRO records. The alternate first names are not publicly visible.
The same applies to the Last Name field, where the director may have changed their last name. An example may be a difference in the maiden/married name.
We have an alternate last name field as with the first name field. In this field, a director would put the last name that is on record with the Dept of Social Protection. Please note that the last name on public records can continue to be used. Additionally, please note that the alternate last name is not publicly visible.
